Our design competition submission 'Our Outback' - a concept celebrating the intersection of shade, verandah and shelter for the Outback Museum of Australia (OMOA).

A key aspect of this idea was using the form and function of shade, verandah and shelter to drive best-practice ESD outcomes - including a design concept that included thermal mass to help reduce heat gain in summer, and heat loss in winter, together with passive cooling and natural ventilation.

Whilst not the outcome we were hoping for; we are incredibly proud of our idea and the interdisciplinary process that was adopted to get there.
